Hive - Live Streaming Page
THE INSTALLATION OF HIVE IN LANGHAM DOME CONCLUDED AT 2PM ON SUNDAY 13TH NOVEMBER 2011.
Live streaming of audio took place through almost the entire 24 hours of the installation, and can be reviewed via Mixlr as follows.
To listen to 2pm Saturday up to 10.40am Sunday click here.
To listen to 11.05am Sunday until 2pm Sunday click here.
The Mixlr audio is scrollable, so you can jump from one section to another to see how the piece sounded at different times, and check out how everything focussed on the news at the turn of the hours. You may also hear how perfect the final track on the final radio was. The reason for the gap in audio was due to power failure - I forgot to refuel the generator.
At the bottom of this page is a cameraphone peek through the door of the Dome at the installation, on Saturday evening. I couldn't stream video inside because the signal dropped from my phone once I stepped inside.

This is the Hive live streaming page, which will only be operational for 24 hours between 2pm Saturday 12th November and 2pm Sunday 13th November UK time. The Mixlr window will be broadcasting audio direct via a stereo microphone array attached to a 4m boom arm within Langham Dome. The boom arm means that the microphones can move freely around within the space as the installation progresses, and this is essential to get some idea of what the piece is about. The Ustream window will broadcast moving images from my phone.
If it works that is. It's tricky getting adequate upload speeds when sitting in a field in North Norfolk, but I have high hopes. I'll tweet when the system's ready to rumble.
